Issue#1673: Radio Control - Moving to Motion RC Hobby Squawk forum Due to RCG wrongful acts against members

  • Folks I will be moving my involvement to the Motion RC "Hobby Squawk" forum due to the wrongful acts from RCG and it's administrators I have witnessed here. It's utterly shameful!!!!

I just can't cant see supporting an organization that is acting is such a grossly discriminate and biased manner!!! and against my foundation american values that I stood up for and defended as and American Veteran.

  • Issue#131847: Radio Control - Looking for Advice on moving to Hobby Grade Quad

I'm looking for advice, warnings, etc that could help me in selecting a new quadcopter, as I'd like to move into brushless hobby grade equipment. The list of things I would like include GPS/altitude hold, RTH, Headless, Follow, and capable of doing aerial photography/video/FPV, although doesn't need to come with a camera or have one built in. Three that I'm considering are the Flying 3D X8, Hubsan H501S, and Cheerson CX-20, but I'm open to other suggestions. From what I have seen, it looks as if the Flying 3D X8 and Hubsan H501S may be better for some sport flying, and the CX-20 is probably the least likely in that area, being more DJI like. It also appears that the CX-20 may be the most complex and "needy", but I'm not sure. Any comments would be appreciated. No hurry, because I'd wait for a decent sale. Just missed one on the X8, I think, and one's going on for the CX-20. Thanks.

  • Issue#176886: Radio Control - Horizon hobby corsair tail issue

Hey guys i have a horizon hobby corsair that i absolutly love flying but when i speed up the ass end starts prophesing up and down. Checked the cg and everything is okay. My idea is the as3x is over reacting when the tail starts to wiggle a little and keeps trying to over correct. Its just a really odd thing to me. I might try putting a spar along the tail so that it stays rigid but im not even sure thats the problem. A little insight would be great thanks.

  • Issue#913386: Radio Control - Horizon Hobby UMX P-47 Decalage issue and fix

The 2s Horizon Hobby UMX P-47 is a great little flier but a number of people (myself included) have had issues with the decalage (horizontal stabilizer alignment) being WAY off out of the box. This generally causes the plane to climb like crazy - almost like it's very tail heavy. While it's frustrating to have to fix a new plane right out of the box, the solution is actually very simple to implement. The image below shows what I have found the horizontal stabilizer alignment should be for the aircraft to fly well. This post shows a picture of mine as it was out of the box (climbed like crazy), another picture with too much correction (wanted to dive), and then one with the final adjustment (same as the image below but without the line drawn in). This post shows the methodology to fix the issue if you have it. Attached Thumbnails Views: N/A

  • Issue#1014439: Radio Control - Horizon Hobby... Credit where its due

A number of years ago I bought a used JR 9503, used it and had no problems with my park flyer and bigger models, but every now and then it would take a couple of attempts to bind to any of my UMX models. Over a year or so it seemed to get worse, I became weary of it and bought a DX9, relegated the JR to backup/buddy box. Last year my 15 year old son started to pay an interest in the hobby and I helped him patch up an old Parkzone P47, so the JR was to be his, except by now it would not bind to any of the receivers I had, so.... I shipped it off to Horizon's Service department with a note about the issue and that if repair was reasonable I would consider the DSMX upgrade, if not cost effective I would just buy a DX6i as a replacement. 2 days after they received it, I missed a phone call saying it was done! I called back to find they had repaired the radio, upgraded to DSMX and there was NO CHARGE, "customer satisfaction" they said! Thank You VERY MUCH, I said. Gave them my

  • Issue#1110894: Radio Control - Eleven Hobby F8F-2 Bearcat Review (work in progress - to be posted in forum soon)

Tobey was nice enough to send me one of the new Bearcats by Eleven Hobby for review...they can be ordered here... http://www.banggood.com/Eleven-Hobby...m_campaign=F8F I have read that a few folks have had some issues with the tracking and getting their order in a timely fashion, but I must say that after my order was placed I did not have any trouble with any of that. The tracking worked for me and was accurate right up to receiving my order...which I got in just over a week. The plane was packaged very well and made the long trip to Ga. in tact with no damage. As others have pointed out it was extremely easy to assemble...I took the extra time to safety tape all my Y harness connections, zip tie my wiring and glue the ties into the foam, and embed my receiver antennas in to the foam and tape them down so they cant lose proper orientation. Setting up the transmitter and adjusting the throws, and six screws and I was still done in about an hour and a half. Two things of note...the

  • Issue#1127490: Radio Control - Is the bulk of rcg members Trump or Clinton supporters?

Its either or, you want one to win, the other to lose, or vice versa, voting against one regardless of the other being ideal. I am seeing conflicting reports where independent surveys favor Trump but our media surveys say otherwise. I want to share my opinions on this but will not on the thread starter so it will not taint the results.

  • Issue#1307: Radio Control - The bring back Shirty thread has been closed by RCG!!!

Hello to All, Please see the attached documentation. As of 1:50am EST (U.S.), when I checked, the thread titled Bring Back Shirty Poll thread has been closed by RCG. I did not close this thread. In fact, I noticed that it was closed, because I was going to respond to some comments, but was not able to. So, because of this, I am creating a new thread, where I prove, without a shadow of a doubt, the PREJUDICE of RCG against ANYTHING to do with Shirty. I have attached the evidence below. Mods... If for some reason you feel that this is some sort of a "conspiracy" to bring Shirty back... It is not. The whole situation really has p!ss3d me off!!! This is beyond ridiculous!!! That RCG will not openly state that the member has/was not permanently blocked from the site, is very concerning. This is because you create an environment where people walk on "egg shells", rather that fostering a true environment of sharing. Also, the PRIMARY point is still the same! If you infr

  • Issue#1923: Radio Control - SW capacitor/ librepilot issue HELP!!

Hi all, I have a problem.. My Eachine landed from about a metre flat on its belly and the SW capacitor came off, and one off the connecting pins broke so I replaced with a 470uf 25v from maplin.. LibrePilot takes longer than usual to choose the FC in wizard then on setting the motor start points that SW motor runs seemingly slower and rattly, then on saving the wizard settings it gets to preparing mixer settings and crashes there. That's about as much info as I have as I'm new to this and only had my Eachine 2 days Thanks in advance

  • Issue#2112: Radio Control - Value Hobby Cessna 182 - 40 size

The Value Hobby Cessna 182 looks just about like the CMP Cessna 182 - 50 size. The numbers on the fuselage are even the same. However, there are some things that are different, so this plane may be the latest version and it was purchased in the summer of 2015. Since I am going to make mine electric, I thought I would post my build log as well. There are a couple other threads on the CMP Cessna 182 that have been built as nitro versions, so my build log will highlight the differences between my kit and the older nitro versions. First, here are two links of two other CMP Cessna 182's. The first is a well done build log using a nitro engine by Rodan: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=814888 The second one is a little shorter and is a brief discussion started by Rampage: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showt...ght=cessna+182 I recommend that you go through these threads first to get familiar with the plane in general. In the next message, I will start discussing what I ha

  • Issue#8246: Radio Control - Uncontrollable Yaw Issue

I have an F330 clone frame that has an Openpilot CC3D FC, HK 25/30a ESC's and Propdrive 28-26s 1200kv motors. I hooked it up to the Openpilot GCS and went through the FC and transmitter configuration steps. The problem is that after arming and taking off, it wants to continually yaw left and kind of bounce up and down making it hard to control. I checked most settings and everything looks fine including the motor RPM speed sliders as well as I completed the ESC calibration and double checked that the props are on correctly. I also looked on my Turnigy 9xr controller settings and it looks like it is correct. I am not sure what to do next. This is not my first quad but I am clueless what to do next. Everything is new with the exception of the ESC's and motors. Thanks! John

  • Issue#10698: Radio Control - Horizon Hobby/ Hangar 9

Let me start by saying Horizon has great customer service and Hangar 9 has planes that fly very well but i am officially done buying Hangar 9 planes. Introducing new planes and discontinuing 90% of them after 2 years is getting really old. I will be moving on to Top Flite there current P 47 .60 has been around for 7 years and counting i cant understand why you would make planes that everyone likes and discontinue them so quickly.

  • Issue#11626: Radio Control - Issue with TDisaster

Just wanted to get the word out- I bought a battery from TDisaster. He was extremely responsive on the day I pm'ed him about buying the battery and was quick to take my money, but all but disappeared afterwards. Payment sent on 1-11-16. About a week after I sent payment, 1-17-16, I sent him a PM asking for the tracking info because I should have received the battery by then. A couple days went by then he said that he was too busy and didn't get it out but that he would do so shortly. That was a week and a half ago and I still have no battery and he hasn't replied to a PM in ~four days. It's now 1-26-16 and still no battery or response. Here is the original FS thread http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2569355 I'll update if I hear anything or if there ends up being a positive resolution. Just wanted to get the word out since he has some other stuff for sale too. EDIT: And now his PM box is full.

  • Issue#11927: Radio Control - SkyRC Quattro B6AC issue

This is the second SkyRC Quattro B6AC I have and both seem to have the same issue. One of the four charging circuits has given up the ghost. This one pictured the top right gave up and the second the bottom right. I emailed SkyRC and of course no response to 2 emails for customer service. I opened up the unit itself in hope it was four separate charging circuits boards and I could find a replacement or combine for one functioning charger. Question is anyone had this issue with this brand or Hitech they are identical in every way. If so were you able to trouble shoot the problem? Attached Thumbnails Views: N/A
