In this video we take our 3D printed brushed FPV quadcopter for a fun ride in the garden. With only 50g flying weight, you can literally fly this almost anywhere and get ~7 minutes (as shown in the video) of fun on a single battery charge.

  • Issue#289698: Radio Control - Problem - Quadcopter flight time

Hello everyone, this is my first post on RC Groups. I am new to the RC scene and seem to be having a problem with my quad. My quad consists of the following components: 600mm reptile h4-j4 frame Emax mt2206 1500kv motors Emax 12A ESC's 8045 carbon fiber props 5000mah turnigy 3S battery Various fpv equipment The problem I am running into is this: It seems that about 2 minutes after level flight, the quadcopter losses an immense amount of power and begins a quick descent. After checking the temperatures of the motors, they are hot to the touch to the point where I can't hold my finger on them. After a minute or two of having the quad off, I can again fly for a short amount of time before the same problem occurs, and the cycle continues. My question is whether or not this configuration is improper or if there might be a hardware malfunction. I would greatly appreciate any input. Thank you!

  • Issue#1003285: Radio Control - Flying Cx-10w quadcopter first time

Anyone experienced this cheerson cx-10w nano quadcopter?. I did my first flight today and it seems one must have initial flying skills to start this as hobby... This nano quadcopter has integrated FPV camera and it binds with your smartphone (iphone in my case) via an app ...u can see live streaming on your phone while flying. Since its a very tiny device so controlling is a bit of challenge...hit the wall of my garage couple of times and u can see twisted propellers in the pictures... Any one who has done a stable flight , please share ur experience. Thanks

  • Issue#1265: iPhone 5c: Can someone explain this date & time issue one iOS 8.3?

This device has a very strange date & time issue (maybe multiple issues). Auto time/date will not automatically detect the timezonewill not automatically adjust to the correct time Maintain time/date the time will count upwards as normal until the screen is locked for roughly 10 minutes (sleep)once the device resumes from sleep (unlock) it will display the time that was registered immediately prior to sleeping - and will continue to count upwards as normal from there Manually setting time/date when manually setting the date & time, the day/month scroll will sporadically change - for example: above the selector bar will show 9 May, below the bar will show 11 May but inside the bar will show 26 Oct (all just example dates).when scrolling through the dates, the day/month will magically meld into the incorrect sequence of day/monthoften the 'set date & time' will jump forward or backward by as much as 30 years or more (sometimes also resetting to Unix Epoch)often the scro

  • Issue#5103: Radio Control - challenge: student level quick build time free flight glider

My end goal is to have a kit that is very quick and easy to build for students so they can be up in the air quickly and have some room to experiment. At the end I'd hope there would be something with some half-decent performance, maybe 30 - 60 second flight times? In the meantime I've been playing around with a couple of designs, one which is to be a thermal glider with an inexpensive de-thermalizer timer using about half a sheet of readi-board and another which is a small 12" rubber band launched glider. Both have about a 20 - 30 minute build time. Nothing I've built so far can get more than a 15 second flight in dismal winter weather, but I'm getting really light wing loading of less than 0.7 oz. / sq. ft. If there is interest I can post what I have so far. I'm hoping there might be enough interest for others to contribute ideas and designs :)

  • Issue#7837: Quadcopter - Coding my flight stabilizer function

Hello all, Brand new to this quadcopter stuff. I've build a 450 quad using an Arduino Uno as the flight controller. Though the arduino has a PID library ( don't really understand how to integrate it into my code ), I am trying to code my own flight stabilizing algorithm but can't get it quite right. Here is a snippet of code regarding the algorithm: Code: float angle_x = alpha*gyro_angle_x + (1.0 - alpha)*accel_angle_x; // Current Pitch of quad float angle_y = alpha*gyro_angle_y... • Issue#8624: Geforce - Anti Aliasing issue with Flight Simulator 2004/FS9 and other games

Good evening chaps. I would like to ask anyone who might be able to give me a hand in discovering why the bloody hell my card is not applying AA correctly in any of the games I use, more specifically Flight Simulator 2004 and other games too. It has come to my attention that if I apply AA to other programs it works, but it is only with games that it does not do the job. Between June and July 2015 I was able to make it work, for a short time until I started to suffer with BSOD, the driver I used was 340.52 and since then I have not been able to make it work again. I even went to the extent of reinstalling Windows but still it is not working. Could somebody please be so kind in telling me what is wrong here?, I would finally like to make use of my pc properly since I bought it in 2012. I leave links which show differences, the next pictures show how a flight sim model looks in another rendering application called FSREPAINT, first with no AA and then with AA set at 8xS. Then a last one

  • Issue#9218: Parrot - Flight Time??

Today I flew my Bebop using the 2 / 1200 batteries that came with it... They were fully charged and I took flight.. within 3 minutes the first battery was down to 9%.. end of flight.. I loaded the second battery and up it went at 98%.. in less than 5 minutes it was down to 12% as indicated on the FF3 screen.. Do new batteries require conditioning before use or are the 1200's just for breaking the unit in?? 5 minutes is unsatisfactory.. I will try again tomorrow after recharging tonight... thoughts??

An amazing home built B-17 Flying Fortress Slope Glider. Kevin W said he cut it out 10 years ago and just the other week decided to put it together for this years annual meet on the Tapps Ridge! As can be seen in the video it flew absolutely magnificently and Kevin was a very happy flyer when it finally touched down. Kev also mentioned he might fit some retracts for next year so he can just land on the roadway LOL! So sit back and take in the great flight and views of this beautiful B-17 Flying Fortress and the area we call Tapps! Thanks for watching! cheers Chuck B-17 Flying Fortress-Maiden Flight-Australia Day 2016-Tapanappa Ridge (5 min 58 sec)

  • Issue#29041: Quadcopter - Flying for profit (US)

I know that the New proposed FAA rules seem very reasonable for using these things for commercial use. But they need to be voted on until they become law. So I was wondering what I can do in the meantime? I know that you need to petition for a Section 333 exemption to be able to do it. And even the FAA streamlines and gives blanket exemptions to certain things: https://www.faa.gov/news/updates/?newsId=82245 But I was wondering how to get FAA exemption? I have read...
