Issue#770847: Radio Control - How do I know when my JXD 509G Battery is going to die?

  • I have bought the 509G and I was flying, then when the battery went flat it just dropped from the sky!

Is there something that tells me somewhere when the battery is about to go flat?

    Many thanks,

    James

  • Issue#592194: Radio Control - has anyone resolved the infamous JXD 509G binding issue?

Hi everyone, been having a blast ever since i received my jxd 509G. a home made cloverleaf antenna on the fpv receiver has breathed new life into this thing! but in the last few days i've started having binding issues... after the binding procedure the LEDS keep blinking for a while and then they start blinking very quickly, like a strobe effect. it seems like it isn't binded at all but if if bring both sticks down and in the LEDS on the quad start flashing as if i'm calibrating the gyro!!! but it stil won't start, and no other buttons work either (lights, video...) what is this all about!?!?! it can take me SEVERAL attemps before i am finally able to bind. always seems to be a crapshoot. so i've read about this issue a lot but wasn't able to find a definitive fix or procedure... what is your experience with this? i want to get this right from the start!!! thanks!

  • Issue#12219: Radio Control - JXD 509G FPV Drone Mods

Here's a thread for any mods made on the JXD 509G FPV. Any mods to the 509W or 509V would be fitting too. Much discussion has been started on the thread JXD 509G FPV Drone Flight Test Review. Now that I received my own, I'm going beyond flight test reviews to modifications. Anyone upgrade the props? The motors? The batteries? Remove some of the weight of the body somehow? I'd love to see & hear if it increased your flight time. Pictures preferred. Attached Thumbnails Views: N/A

  • Issue#79083: Radio Control - JXD 509G JXD509G 5.8G FPV With 2.0MP HD Camera High Hold Mode RC Quadcopter

JXD 509G JXD509G 5.8G FPV With 2.0MP HD Camera High Hold Mode RC Quadcopter I bought a JXD 385 a couple of years ago when I was flying Wltoys V202s and V252s and it was a good quad at that time that competed with the Wltoys quads well. It came with a transmitter that did not include autoflips at 100% rates like the V252 tx and had the same protocol as the Wltoys, so I used that transmitter for a while to fly the Wltoys quads. The 385 flew very well but did not have good LEDs for night flying. My 385 still works but all four motors have been replaced once. Banggood asked if I would like to review the JXD 509G, I said yes. This is only my second JXD quad. I recieved this quad on 2/01/2016 from Banggood. Good shipping time of only 14 days using China Post. You can find it here: http://www.banggood.com/JXD-509G-JXD...p-1001776.html Attachment 8680835 First Impressions As mentioned in the other JXD 509 threads this quad copies the design of the Yuneec Q500, a larger quad that I am

  • Issue#95603: Radio Control - JXD 509G 5.8 GHz FPV Quadcopter with Altitude Hold (work in progress)

One of the current hypes in cheap RTF "multirotor-country" is altitude hold. The idea is to make flying easier, as throttle control is one of the hardest functions to grasp, for fresh pilots. Another benefit should be, to have a more stable platform for shooting video. Will this work out as intended? A closer look at the JXD 509G might give some answers. • Issue#170654: Radio Control - Turnigy Battery Issue/Warranty?

Hey all, I have about 4 batteries I use in my drone. They usually all balance and charge just fine. All charging gear(B680AC) and batteries were bought in Australia from reputable stores. Nothing fake. I always charge my batteries at 1c. I'm patient. I also always balance charge the batteries. Now I was out flying and noticed when my Turnigy Nanotech 2200mah was getting low and the buzzer sounded that one cell was at 3v while the others were at 3.5. It got me a little worried. I went outside to charge the cells. I charge in a metal tool box and when 2 of the 3 cells hit 4.2v, the other cell was only 3.9v. Is this dodgy? Its been used about 10 times, never discharged to unsafe levels and never left for more than 2 days without being used, if fully charged. I have not crashed the drone to visually cause any damage to the battery and its all in good condition with no puffiness. It does not get warm when charging. Is it rooted? I do not want to remotely risk using the battery if it

  • Issue#422541: Radio Control - jxd 509g questions / opinions

Hi! After lots of scouring the internet to find the best new fpv quad under $200, i settled for the jxd 509g. The only quad i owned before this was the Hubsan X4 h107L (no fpv) and what i loved about it was how quick and "nervous" it is. it is super responsive and if you use gravity properly the thing really flies like a rocket. i'm scared that the jxd 509g won't be as quick.... i've tried a syma x5c and was a little dissapointed that it just felt like a big whale. it was super stable, but a little boring compared to the x4. so to those of you who own or have flown the jxd 509g, how did you like it? is it quick? responsive? how is the fpv range? flight time? do you think it is the best fpv quad at this price point or do you prefer another model? curious to hear what y'all have to say!

  • Issue#428127: Radio Control - Syma X8 HG or JXD 509G

If you had a choice to make which one would you buy. This will be my first quad, but I've flown gas and electic heli's for many years. I wanted to get something to practice on before I get a Yuneec Q500+ later this summer. Please don't start suggesting other quads, as I've narrowed my search down to these 2. Thanks, jjp

  • Issue#529022: Radio Control - eflite 1300 mah 3c battery issue?

I'm going to try my best to explain this oddness. I have 2 eflite batteries for my Parkzone Sport Cub. The 1300 mah that came with it and another 1800 mah. After my last 2 flights with the 1300 mah battery I noticed the outer blue wrap has expanded and feels "squishy". Not squishy like their is fluid between it and the actual cells, but like air is trapped inside the outer blue plastic wrap. If I push down lightly (like maybe a pd per square inch of pressure) I feel the hardness of the cells themselves. It doesn't feel like fluid is stuck, just air. Ever heard of this? Should I consider the pack dead and get rid of it?

  • Issue#693629: Radio Control - Syma X8 battery compartment issue.

Syma X8 battery compartment issue. And how to solve the problem my way. Normally the battery is snug fit into the compartment in order to prevent it movement in flight. So it's rather hard to remove without a bit pulling the wires (the wires connection can easily be damaged). The following is my very basic solution ::) Attached Thumbnails Views: N/A Views: N/A Views: N/A Views: N/A

  • Issue#960993: Radio Control - Fatshark Battery Issue

Have had problems with 2 different Fatshark batteries. The 1800 mAH... One had a cell that would take forever to balance and was at least .06v difference from the other after use. Currently trying to cycle/storage the new(2nd) battery a few times. The voltage is jumping up and down .05v every second!! I'm not sure if it is even balancing at all. A quick online search and apparently others have similar problems and many complaints. Fatshark replied to my email and said it would not catch fire due to the low C rating and to cycle it. Then return it to the retailer if it continues. Any tips or tricks with these or substitute battery? Thanks

  • Issue#1005: Radio Control - Using a 7.4v battery with a 6v car?

I have an old RC car/truck that has been sitting around collecting dust. It probably cost ~$30 @ Walmart or so when I got it, so nothing fancy. It runs off of four AA batteries, so 1.5v * 4 = 6v. I had an old 7.2v 1500mah NiCd battery laying around, so I thought hey it'd be pretty cool to connect it to the car. I disconnected the AA battery box, soldered on a connector for the battery, and plugged it up. It runs a lot faster and it's quite fun to drive around now. I also have a 3600mah 7.2v NiMh battery which works with it as well. Now I've never really done something like this to any of my RCs, and I would like to know if using a 7.2v battery creates much of a risk for damaging the car or the battery itself. I also did the same thing to the controller, which takes 2 AA batteries. I hooked up a 3.7v LiPo and it seems to work fine too. So, am I running a risk of damaging anything? It wouldn't be that big of a deal though because it's just been sitting around for a long time.

  • Issue#1923: Radio Control - SW capacitor/ librepilot issue HELP!!

Hi all, I have a problem.. My Eachine landed from about a metre flat on its belly and the SW capacitor came off, and one off the connecting pins broke so I replaced with a 470uf 25v from maplin.. LibrePilot takes longer than usual to choose the FC in wizard then on setting the motor start points that SW motor runs seemingly slower and rattly, then on saving the wizard settings it gets to preparing mixer settings and crashes there. That's about as much info as I have as I'm new to this and only had my Eachine 2 days Thanks in advance

  • Issue#3844: Radio Control - Council of Vapor Kindred with Aspire Nautilus, charger, and battery

Selling my complete vape setup. The mod is adjustable to a long and short configuration and has a locking ring at the bottom to assure no accidental button presses. It also has vent holes and adjustable 510 connections to ensure a snug battery fit. It was used almost daily so does have a few scratches and tarnish on the brass but I'm sure can polish upnvery nicely. The tank is an Aspire Atlantis. Has replaceable sub ohm atomizers (I'll be including 1 unused in sealed package to get you started). It has very adjustable airflow and for those wondering it can blow solid clouds. This would be my top tank pick before going to a rebuild able setup as its just so easy to use and provides great vapor and taste. You will get one battery with this setup as well as a intelligent 2 port peak charger for the battery that can plug into the wall. I even have a little juice remaining I will toss in. Complete setup, high end, reliable, easy to use. Attached Thumbnails

  • Issue#4557: Radio Control - Zennox D8652 battery help

Hi, I'm new to the forum, and also new to the world of RC. I received a drone for Christmas, and I'm trying to identify the battery in order to buy some spares. The drone I have is a Zennox D8652 quadcopter. Printed on the battery itself appears to be the following info: GN-752030 300mAh 25c + 15.06.25 The approximate dimensions are: 7mm x 18mm x 32mm. I've done lots of Googling and found many batteries that have similar numbers or mAh ratings on eBay, but when I've contacted the sellers they have advised that it is not the right battery for my drone. So I need the help of you experts in this forum :). Can you: A) Help me identify the name / number / type of connector that is on this battery (see photos attached) B) Does anyone know where I can buy this exact battery (a link to the correct one on eBay would be great). Preferably I'd like one that comes in a kit with a multi-charger. Thanks in advance! Jon Attached Thumbnails

  • Issue#4561: Radio Control - JJRC H20 Battery Falls Out

I'm beginning with the H20 and H18. The H20 battery will shift or fall out often. If it simply shifts, it can screw up the trim badly, leaving you wondering what the ?#$%? happened until you start checking things over. I found that rubber bands meant for hair, placed so that it goes around the closed end of the battery compartment, and then down low on ONLY the non wired corner of the battery, crossing the battery in the middle of that end, will hold it in, and are easy to work with. Got a box of several hundred at the 99c store. These are clear, almost like fishing leader, low force (good), and about the size of my small finger.

Clinton's Former Mistress: 'If I die by committing suicide, don't believe it'... Adan Salazar | Infowars.com - January 25, 2016 421 "One of President Bill Clinton’s former mistresses fears the Clinton campaign could attempt to assassinate her and stage it to appear as a suicide. On Saturday, author and former Miss Arkansas Sally Miller, also known as Myra Belle “Sally” Miller or Sally Perdue, posted a message alerting friends that she fears for her life. “In this election year, if you read I died….by committing suicide….don’t believe it,” Miller told friends via a Facebook post. The former beauty queen claims she’s been familiar with the Clinton’s intimidation tactics since the 90s, during which she was physically threatened by a Clinton operative. “It’s been well established, but underreported by American media, that Hillary Clinton unleashed her operatives, including Ron Tucker, to threaten Miller beginning in 1992,” reports Jack Dennis for Examiner.com.

  • Issue#8246: Radio Control - Uncontrollable Yaw Issue

I have an F330 clone frame that has an Openpilot CC3D FC, HK 25/30a ESC's and Propdrive 28-26s 1200kv motors. I hooked it up to the Openpilot GCS and went through the FC and transmitter configuration steps. The problem is that after arming and taking off, it wants to continually yaw left and kind of bounce up and down making it hard to control. I checked most settings and everything looks fine including the motor RPM speed sliders as well as I completed the ESC calibration and double checked that the props are on correctly. I also looked on my Turnigy 9xr controller settings and it looks like it is correct. I am not sure what to do next. This is not my first quad but I am clueless what to do next. Everything is new with the exception of the ESC's and motors. Thanks! John
